This game was so boss. I can't believe it didn't get a higher rating when it was reviewed. Maximum ownage. I owned those noob little computers nonstop for three days before finishing all the campaigns. Asian Dynasties wasn't as entertaining but good subtle changes to tweak things.

Only dumb thing I can't figure out is the limit on towers. I should be able to build as many damn towers as I want. If I want to pimp out my base and make a wall of towers, I should be able to do so. That's how I roll in the south.

For me, mulitplayer is where AoE 3 really came into its own.I played more games than I can count on LAN with friends and it never got old. Problem was once we all got good at it and perfected strategy with our favourite nation, games would drag on for hours with no real winner in the end lol. Definitely a great game though.

indeed age of mythology wuz better and the reason they limited towers was because of strategies players used involving towers back in AoEII

I agree completely. I remember myself pouring hundreds of hours into that game. Good times.

Got bored of the campaign fairly quickly. Played skirmish mode pretty much non-stop though. More freedom, I guess.

Well the campaign was decent, but it just felt dowright inferior to AoM's. Random map/Multiplayer it's good I guess...but it's one of those games that, while you can't say what was wrong with them, compared with other games in the series it just didn't 'feel' right.

It ran into the we made some of the best games ever made and can't top it. That is why it took heat. AOE 1 and 2, are debatable one of the best rts games every made.

i thought it was okay, im more of a sucker for old school graphics so my favorite AoE was Age of kings

speaking of boss games though Red Alert 2 was downright terrific
