Below are my specs.
Will I be able to handle future games that are very demanding on a system?
On Crysis what type of FPS and at what setting and res will i be able to play it on?

I am really not joking. I love playing video games. I know how to run a computer and all, i just dont know about the hardware. I am just wondering is all.Is this a joke thread? That's a Godbox.

Hahahahahaha.
If you want to show off, fine. Just post some pics to show us how good it looks.
I have to wait until it gets here. I just ordered it. I am really not trying to show off.If you're being serious, that's pretty much the best PC you can have. It's beyond a gaming rig, it's beyond anything most of us have seen in person. It's absurdly powerful.
So you must've picked the most pricey items and then you're thinking if it's good?MonsieurXHonestly? Pretty much. I only got the duel 2gb ati hd 5970's because i see everyone talking about how good it is.

Let me put it to you this way- You have the most powerful CPU you can buy today. You also have 2 of the most powerful video card you can buy today. You have 3 times as much RAM as any game needs to max out. Your hard drives are some of the fastest you can get. Yeah I think you'll be ok! Please tell me you're going to be running multiple monitors or some insanely high resolution above 1920x1080?

Ummm, I will be using a 23' full hd monitors.BlackShirt20
Hopefully three? Because it would be a shame not to be able to enjoy the Eyefinity feature with such a powerful computer.
hehe, "I just bought a Ferrari F250, u guys think I will be able to max the speedlimit for the next couple of years?"...Hopefully u got a case to match lots of heat there.
If you love games so much just buy a console and game away (and save yourself $4000 or so, ahh well at least you're boosting the economy all on your own)...
If you spent a lot of money on that, then you should know what games it should play. If not, please gtfo.

Made this in another thread, lol. Thought I'd just throw it into here for the hell of it xD
Total might have changed a lil though :P
I don't think it's right to call someone stupid just because you don't think their question is real or not. This is one of those threads where the person trys to not know anything about computer hardware then trys to rub it in your face pretty much. You know what type of FPS you will be getting, you know what you ordered, no one is that stupid.

Great, another newbie Pc gamer suckered in by Alienware.
1. You could of built it yourself for probabley half the price.
2. Building it yourself makes fixing it easy.
3. You don't know anything about the parts. Or how it works.
4. Probably got generic parts for more then the price of namebrand.

You couldn't have built THAT for half the price. Did you look at the parts and price it out? I'm not saying that he couldn't have gotten a better deal on something more practical, but lately Alienware's prices have been shocking me with how low they are. Even a couple of months ago it seemed like they were much higher in general.

Let me say this. I did not start a thread to be called out on my computer of choice. I simply asked 2 questions that still have yet to be answered. So i got alienware, is that a crime or something? I wanted to get a computer that i would not need to change for years. I went with Dell/Alienware because of the customer support. IF i smasked it on the ground it would be replaced. If a part goes bad it is replace, free! Plus i have a direct line to tech support that actually speak and understand english.
Yeah, i could have got it about $1,000 cheaper, but i know nothing about computer hardware. I know what the hardware is and does. But if something went wrong and needed to be fixed there is no way i could repair it. I have heard that the custormer service from places like ibuypower.com is not only crap, but that most wouldnt wish it on there enemy.
I did not get Alienware for a penis contest. I got it and maxed it out because playing video games is my main hobby aside from going to strip clubs with friends and stuff lol. I am not trying to rub it in anyways face either. I have seen a lot of post over the last few months and weeks about people that have built computers that have bragged and bragged. I have not bragged. Just because i showed the specs does not mean i am bragging and rubbing it in your face.

If you built it yourself each part would have its own warrenty. And they would be name brand.

Well then in that case you really shouldn't have jumped into PC gaming. Unlike consoles it requires a lot of research and fiddling around with components. For example, while your current rig will easily max out everything, depending on your gaming habits you could easily get away with a much less powerful (and thus much cheaper) rig that would still max out everything. For example, what resolution are you playing at? If it's not 2560x1600 (or in this case probably more like 3x1 eyefinity @ 5760x1200 at least) there's no point in having two 5970s. One is good but only if you're planning to game at at least 1920x1080. Below that and you're better off picking up a single 5870. And god forbid you're planning to play at a resolution below 1680x1050, in which case you don't even need a 5870.
Then there's the matter of your CPU. If you don't do a lot of video encoding, video editing, 3D rendering, etc., then you will never see use of all six of those cores. Only recently have most games started to take advantage of quad core CPUs; it will be a very long time (1-2 years) before we see any games taking advantage of six cores. And by that time you'll probably be wanting to upgrade the 980X anyway (and the 6 core CPUs available then will be MUCH cheaper than the 980X is today). So as you see, if all you plan on doing is gaming you will never take advantage of the 980X enough to warrant the $1000+ pricetag.
Also, if I were you I wouldn't have bothered with the 10,000 RPM HDDs. Rather, I would have gotten a few SSDs to put in RAID 0 and then a 7200 RPM HDD for data storage. SSDs put any mechanical HDD to shame, both in terms of speed and reliability.
As for Alienware/Dell, while customer support is nice and all, as a PC gamer you should (hopefully) know enough about computers to render calling customer support a waste of time. I myself haven't called a customer support hotline in over eight years since I found that I'm normally able to find the solution faster on my own and as a plus I'll actually find the correct solution whereas customer support will have to try about 30 times before giving up and telling you to send it back. And as a PC gamer realize that you will need to be a tech expert. How else do you plan to upgrade your system? I mean, how are you going to choose hardware? How will you know how to install the hardware? Are you going to overclock anything? If so, do you have adequete cooling? Do you know how to maintain your system properly? (with air cooled systems this is no harder than just opening the rig up to blow out dust, but with water cooled systems this can get pretty involved).
As for warranties, if you build a PC yourself all the individual components come with their own warranties. As a plus, this also means that should you ever need to return something to a manufacturer you need only send back one small component instead of the entire rig.
