just bought a new flight joystick for my PC can anyone please give me the name of any good flight simulator games (I dont just mean microsft flight simulator) but any good ones in general, Im purchasing MS flight simulator X in a few days but I would just like to download a few demos now to test my joystick.

I've played a few flight simulator games when I was at school a few yars ago like IL2 and pacific fighters, so im into those type of games as well.

thanks now give me some good games demos :) :)

I recommend Falcon 4.0: Allied Force. It is a great F-16 flight/combat sim with spot on controls and a neat cockpit interface. You can just fly around if you want, or go on combat missions. The best game mode howver is campaign, you get to fly missions in the middle of a war in southern europe. The dogfights can be pretty challengeing depending on what kind of plane you engage, but eventualy you can figure out a good formula that will keep you alive.

It came out in 2005, so the visuals won't be as good as MS Flight Sim X, but it does look a little better than the 2004 MS Flight Sim IMO.

There aren't that many flight sims. IL-2 1942 is the only one that is still popular and you said you already played it. There are a lot of people playing it online but just don't expect much from the viduals. It looks like a game from 2000.There is also Falcon 4.0 if you are willing to read a 1000 page manual.

True, it acts just like teh real thing, but once you clock enough time in it and get a good feel, it's awesome.
