Just bought Hellgate: London...

I've been intrigued by this game for awhile, so today I decided to buy it off of eBay. I got a brand-new copy for $16.00. What should I expect from this game? I've heard that it's quite buggy but extremely fun.

I know about the servers. I heard that the single player was still a blast.

I didn't enjoy single player. It seemed weird that you could walk right through NPC's, and their missions were really really silly which didn't help the atmosphere.

I like the game, but yeah mp is dead. Single player still abit fun though if you never played it. You should also install Hellgate: Revival for a better sp experience.

The game totaly sucked... no wonder they took down the mp servers.

I liked Hellgate.Actually l 'm repeating it this period.

Hellgate didn't live up to it's expectation about being a diablo killer.So what...

Apart from multiplayer which was dissapointing in sp everything worked just fine.

If you like killing monsters and looting(looting here is massive) then you should enjoy it.

Haters gonna hate. Hellgate simply didn't live up to its massive, epic, hugely disproportional pre-launch hype. If it wasn't hyped at all, everyone would have hailed it as a great game. If you like light role-playing (and I do mean light, unless you're big on imagination), a decent world, good lore, and a wide range of play styles, you should enjoy Hellgate. Don't go in expecting the best game ever and it will be a great experience.krazyorange

haha i just loaded it up myself, actually, and it is a lot of fun. I do miss the online, but for a simple hack and slash its good fun.
