try re-setting the motherboard on the pegs i.e removing the screws, making sure the pegs are seated well, and making sure the screws seat well when screwing it back in.
Make sure that the 24-pin power connector is SECURELY inserted into the appropriate socket. I had this problem when I moved my components into my new case.
I unplugged it and put it back on, power button and reset button are on on motherboard. keyboard and mouse are on too, nothing else. i got an hdmi on my video card.Make sure that the 24-pin power connector is SECURELY inserted into the appropriate socket. could be bad ram then. my buddy built a computer that wouldnt post. ended up being bad ram.
try pulling out one of the sticks, one at a time to see if that helps.
[QUOTE="skrillalover"]its already on :( and nothingit's your cpu power. id put money on it. it is a 4 pin. plug it in.

Actually, the CPU power-pin socket would have 8 pin-sockets (more than likely). Typically, four of them are covered by a black plastic cap. Have you removed the cap and inserted the additional four power-pins?

i tried with the 4 pin to see it that was but i put the 8 pin on first
Just for the hell of it, take out the main 24-pin power connector and re-insert it. Make sure that it's in the socket as securely as possible.

fans on top are not working though plus those cables that i dont know what they are forThe only explanation is that you either didn't connect the fans properly, or you didn't connect them at all. Typically, case fans connect directly to the power supply. Find the appropriate cables on the power supply for the fans. However, if the fans have small 3-pin connectors, you can connect them to the motherboard.
