The demo was just mediocre. I didn't like how there was a time limit though.

Well, we PC gamers don't really get that many demos these days, and I think the, what 30 minutes or so?, was quite sufficient to get a proper feel of the game. At least enough to decide whether this is something worth spending money on or not. And if you find the 30 minutes to be too short, just restart it and do the stuff you missed.

I agree. It's not like there's an incredibly deep story here or anything. It's a sandbox game. Just get back in the sandbox if 30 minutes isn't enough. The game has some issues with auto aiming always being on and mouse control is a bit whack. Even if they fixed those 2 annoyances I still wouldn't buy it. Plays nearly exactly like Mercenaries and the view looks too zoomed in all the time. The game runs great, looks great but actual gameplay is very over the top typical console fan fair. The demo got old and shallow after the 30 min even.
This demo has more value than many full-priced games. I played it for 7 hours and it still hasn't got old. Only in my last playthrough I decided to do the mission included, and it was far better than I expected. The pacing, the setpieces, the diversity and the dialogue - yes, dialogue - were insane.
Now I'm sure the game won't get in the way of the madness, like it happens in GTA and many others.
The dialogue? I thought it was hilariously bad...This demo has more value than many full-priced games. I played it for 7 hours and it still hasn't got old. That's the point. Is the art of corny dialogue forgotten? JC2 is supposed to be like a corny, stupid vintage action movie, and it delivers. I lol'd hard at the "Quiet in the back!" part... It's a splash of colour among all the other games that pretend they're serious business.
It already spawns memes, Bolo Santosi is legendary!

i couldn't agree more! I've been playing this game all day and i'm having a blast.
Been having a blast with the game especially when you turn the demo timer off and actually get out there to explore and figure out how to do things since not a whole lot of information was really given.
Did notice some wonky mouse controls, auto aim and stuttering issues in even the most remote areas so hopefully things can get ironed out a bit and I;m sure I'll be picking it up.
