Dammit it doesn't do anything when I click install?!...
EDIT: Its fine I had to log out then login again, Download is 1282MB, currently doing 26% at 1.7MB/S :D.
Just started grabbing it now, thanks for the heads up phpessotti. I hope the demo is substantial and really shows the game off.
It is being billed as a Dx10 only game (which naturally includes Dx11), so it will work on Dx11 systems but I don't think it will take advantage of them.
does it have dx11 features? i dont want to be let down like the avp demo...Sky_RaptorThe AVP demo doesn't even have DX 10, not to mention 11 :/.
Its a good demo rather boring mind you, got the game running everything pushed to max including AF and AA at a steady 30FPS which is playable with a HD4890/Phenom II 550. Here are some pics:
I am trying to download it, but Steam does not allow me to acess it; it says: "Sorry, but you're not permitted to view these materials at this time."
Anybody know why the hell is this happening? Never had such issues with steam before. Could it be because of my location or something?
Im currently uninstalling it... :P its either a horrible demo or those trailers were off some other fun game.Uninstalled it 5 minutes into the demo.

It really is the first game but with a grappling hook and it looks better, thats what I got from the demo and I didn't buy the first game it came with the Eidos pack.I'm really skeptical of this one. I sense a repeat of the first game.

Is driving less frustrating or its the same?dakan45Never really played the first even though I have it on the original Xbox, but I found the driving to be a little stiff. Used both the keyboard and the X360 controller and it felt weird with both.
Just played the demo..... WOW! this game is awesome!!! :D Its like I'm playing an action movie, I was actually thinking of Quantum of Solace while I was playing :P I can't wait for this one. The only thing I could see being bad about the final version, is if we're doing the same few things over and over for the whole game. Either way it will still be a blast to explore and do the story missions (the island looks HUGE and diverse BTW).
bloody awesome is what i gotta say. Its really good fun, PC version runs great, controls are really good with m/k. Gonna pre order this baby as soon as. crozonHave to agree with you. The vehicle handling is not its best feature. They handle OK, nothing special.
I had a stupid glitch, I zip-lined across the whole map. It was really funny.
The game is jaw-droppingly beautiful and runs very well. There are so many special effects and the attention to detail is amazing...
I think i'll pick it up at launch. I played it for two hours and it just gets better as I learn new tricks. It's outrageous, like a dumb '80s action movie!

Yeah, just play with the huge back catalog of San Andreas mods and call it for a mindless sandbox experience bud.
its kind of nice. not too badly optimized. i need a tweakguide or something, any idea how to turn that darn motion blur off?Kh1ndjalThere's a option to turn Motion Blur off on Display settings
as soon as a persoin is in the animation where they are getting off a motorcylce.. shoot them in the head THEY GO FLYING!!!!!!
[QUOTE="adv_tr00per"]I did not have any problem with the demo... Never mind, I restarted my computer and the problem's gone. I just played the full 30 minutes and RIGHT AT THE END found a heli. I'm so gonna go skydiving next time :DThe 5 minutes of playtime I get before the demo freezes are awesome!!!

The graphic is nice and all yes and it all runs well. But the driving feels a little awkward somehow. THe car feels like it has slippery oil on the tires whenever I use the handbrake. It suddenly feels like GTA IV driving but not that bad.
The voice is just strange sometimes. Gunplay feels good. Stunts are good. The helicopter with the miniguns is just a bit overpowered. It feels pretty easy using it to gun down everything n sight as well as not getting owned by the other helicopter. It's fun but it feels like the player is thrown into a free world so suddenly it feels strange at first. I sure hope the whole game is not just about raising chaos level all the time and do rescue/escort missions.
I think it's a fun game. Will I buy it? No. Will I play the demo every once in a while? Definitely. The graphics look great at max settings.

The graphics are terrible on the 360 version, I DL'ed the PC demo too but it just quits back to windows after I try to start the game :'(
