What was disappointing about it? I'm waiting for a sale, no way I'm paying 60$ for it... But anyway, my friend says that the last boss was the worst final boss he has ever seen, and that the bosses in this game sucked overall. Disappointing, because Dead Space had some pretty cool boss fights.

i'm doing a replay now (new game+), the game is way too short because it's way too good, some things we're better in the first one though (like the bosses) but the space and zero-g scenes here are epic and unmatched.

Well your friend hit the nail on the head imo. It feels that the last boss should be the first in terms of difficulty and complexity. The other bosses in the game are hardly worth calling bosses imo. I liked the game overall, but it just felt like DS without the awesome atmosphere. The atmosphere didn't do anything for me and I just found the locations uninteresting. Gameplay feels EXACTLY the same, which isn't a bad thing at all, but I was hoping they would add a bit more variety to it.

Well in the beginning i was kinda disappointed with the locations allthough they are very nicely done (the creche, the church) but how can you say the atmosphere isn't cool. The zero-g scenes are just epic but i know what you mean dead space had more of those good scenes. Dead space didn't feel too short actually this one does but if you look at the graphics they put a lot of work into it that's probably why it's shorter

I thought Dead Space2 was better then the first one. Ran better, controls were better, much better atmosphere, gameplay is more refined and I jumped about 10 times were as Deadspace 1 I didnt jump once. Story is really about the only thing that is even in the two games imo.

Not crazy differnt then the first Deadspace but much more enjoyable for me personally, as its much more polished and better atmosphere and actually made me jump a few times.

in the beginning i was quite scared too but when you have better equipment you get less scared, chapter 14 with that guy following you around is really scary though (but i knew him from dead space 1). Does anyone know if you get a better suit after the riot security suit. Damn i wish they bring out dead space 3 right now...

I think DS2 is better than the original in every way but boss battles. The biggest improvement was in it's story, it's better developed and makes the game more interesting. But I think it still has the same problem as DS1, though less... the atmosphere. You just don't get into the game, everything is superficial and the settings don't have an impact. The school was really weak (wanna see a good school setting, try silent hill 1). The return to Ishimura was really weak too, there was no feeling of actually coming back there... Atmosphere was so lacking in the first one that it just relied on "boo" scares. At least in this one they tried to add new kinds of scares, though very little.
