They'd have too much work, so they made it impossible by default, their reason for not including this possibility is a sign that, again, nothing extremely important will happen depending on your choices, small relatively visible differences but nothing that would affect the game. If you'd import a dead Shepard they'd obviously have to work a lot more, they would have to make some cutscenes, to explain how he got revived, they would also have to make some unique props and environments that might not get used in the game, the "explorable" game, and that would make it more of a bother distracting them from making the other "usable" content even better :?DanielDust

got to last level gave up.

( I lost everyone apart from shepard , tali , garrus , girl in white suit and jacob.Went back to old save to get ship upgrades raged at planet hunting , failed to make everyone loyal and Thane and tali got powned in the ship.)

I have enjoyed it immensely; Am still on my second playthrough as a female, Renegade Shepard. I still greatly value the original Mass Effect, which did a few things better than the sequel, but on the whole ME2 was everything you could have asked for, especially in making the combat better. The story was also top notch, as were all the characters. I'm excited for ME3, of course, but I have patience to wait for it.

Same here. I had no idea that other crew members could die depending on your game's choices you made. I guess that's the rpg part. I do recall Thane saying earlier in the game that he was going to die soon. But he never did in my game.

Just finished all but 2 Firewalker side missions, 37 hours ttl on Hardcore. Grunt, Tali, Maranda and Jacob died. All of other crew died.

Very Gears of War like game with power control pauses. Hope ME3 GREATLY adds more strategy, RPG and inventory elements; ME2s felt weak and shallow.

Also, maps seems so canned and setup with too convenient cover everywhere. Would be nice to have some open world or planet areas like ME1 too.

Story, cinematics and voice action were top notch!!

Graphics were ok but really need improving in the body/debris/blood stay. Environment destruction needs to be added. Physics and more special effects are needed too.

8/10 is my score.

I lost no one my first time but I really hope there is some meaningful consequences to what happened in ME2 as oppose to what happened @ the end of ME1. I don't know how it plays out because I haven't progressed far enough in my renegade play through but I doubt its anything spectacularly different.

I'm not going to get my hopes up but I sure hope they do something meaningful.

I finished Mass Effect 2 several months ago and I remembered myself hyped for the 3rd one just like you. Fortunately, no one died on my part 8)

Actually really hyped about it. Probably not as much as for Dragon Age 2, but yea Mass Effect 2 is still amazing in every sense, sadly few of my crew members died on suicide mission but yea il still import my character if possible, but since it's BioWare im guess it will be possible ;)
