Having Both Dragon Age and Borderlands may consume abit too much time and be difficult to juggle, I say play Dragon Age and keep MW2 on the side if you need a break from an RPG (during Orzammar, you'll probably need one)
That is a really good advice. Thank you. But the thing is, since I already own both games, (Borderlands on PC and MW2 on the PS3) when that happens, I can go to the MW2 on the PS3 when I need a break from the RPG.Having Both Dragon Age and Borderlands may consume abit too much time and be difficult to juggle, I say play Dragon Age and keep MW2 on the side if you need a break from an RPG (during Orzammar, you'll probably need one)

Borderlands, because you won't like MW2 on the PC if you've played it for the PS3.
No matter what anybody in this thread tells you, it's a really subpar game. Can read my review if you want, nothing has changed.

[QUOTE="matastig"]do you really consider Borderlands RPG? Uh dude Borderlands is an RPG.i dont know man i am an RPG player since the Prime of RPG's name any RPG game you've heard of i've played it all, but this is more like shooter than RPG the atmosphere, gameplay, etc.. and even if they put some of RPG's quantities put the name of shooting will get the upper hand,,and i think you should ask more RPG gamers "the real deal of curse not the new gamers" about Borderlands if they agreed on the RPG thing or not.and on last thing even if gamespot sometimes mix things up but they name it Sci-Fi First-Person you can check it here...[QUOTE="_Sharpshooter_"] That is a really good advice. Neither both fail games :/Shadowhawk000This, but Borderlands is less of a failure so get that if you really want one of them.

1: Highlighting your post like an excerpt from Zelda is rather annoying. 2: Borderlands is an action-RPG. It is as much of an RPG as something like the Diablo or Sacred series.[QUOTE="matastig"]i dont know man i am an RPG player since the Prime of RPG's name any RPG game you've heard of i've played it all, but this is more like shooter than RPG the atmosphere, gameplay, etc.. and even if they put some of RPG's quantities put the name of shooting will get the upper hand,,and i think you should ask more RPG gamers "the real deal of curse not the new gamers" about Borderlands if they agreed on the RPG thing or not.and on last thing even if gamespot sometimes mix things up but they name it Sci-Fi First-Person you can check it here... 1: Highlighting your post like an excerpt from Zelda is rather annoying. 2: Borderlands is an action-RPG. You're right, Gamespot does mix things up. It depends on what your idea of an RPG is... Of course what an RPG is doesn't change depending on your opinion. A game doesn't need to have swords or medieval based stories to be an RPG. (Even the developers call Borderlands a Role-Playing Shooter.) Gamespot does call Borderlands a Sci-Fi Shooter, but that doesn't mean it is one. Several different gaming sites such as Team Xbox see borderlands as an RPG.
You earn XP doing quests and with your killings. You literally select your **** You have an inventory. As much as these are the specs of an RPG, it's also not. There are many games that contain these but they don't turn out to be Rpg's. Nowadays, it's hard to say what is an Rpg and what is not...

1. I'm 18, what does that matter? It is a tad off putting to highlight words 'important' to the conversation at hand, and no mature people don't talk by highlighting words. I was stating my opinion, if you aren't mature enough to understand that some people have different opinions from you then you also have no place to be talking down about other people's maturity.
2. If you look at the Zelda series one thing it is known for is highlighting names and other important things in different colours during exposition. No, it isn't offensive I simply stated it was a little annoying.
3. I wasn't hostile in the slightest, you are the one who has come off as being rather hostile and offended, I think maybe you misread my post or something?
4. I did, I was stating that Borderlands in an RPG in the vein of Diablo, and if you try to say that Borderlands isn't an RPG, you are arguing against all of that sub-genre of games, like Diablo, Sacred 2, etc etc.
5. I haven't kept count, but a lot, mostly older ones though, most RPGs of the past few years have failed to live up to the standards set by the oldies like Baldur's Gate and Fallout.
"please check again what i said and think again before you speak,"
I did check what you said before I posted, I think you need to check what I said though.
"and dont throw people with random words"Every word I used was entirely fitting for the conversation at hand, so I'm not entirely sure what you meant by this."please show some respect ....this is a place of fun right.."This is a place of fun, andtruly I'm sorry if I offended you somehow, but I don't see how questioning my maturity or claiming that I'm being hostile for making a point is showing me any respect? You're right, Gamespot does mix things up. ok ,but the game atmosphere is a pure shooting and earning XP and doing quests its not going to give it the same sensation, in RPG games earning XP make more difference to the player than this does, but in the end my friend who is going to like it and enjoy it the most RPG gamers or SHOOTER gamers and you said that the developers call Borderlands a Role-Playing Shooter yes in somehow its right but what i said its not an RPG game, more like when you say pop rock that mean it is rock music with some of pop quantities but still rock music and Role-Playing Shooter more like shooting game with some of RPG quantities but still more like shooting game right ;)[QUOTE="matastig"]

and yours was not friendly to me That's how i felt it when you at the first moment start to criticize my way of writing without even give a chance to ask way but you more interested by showing that you r teased by my highlighting thing even in your next replay you insist on repeating my words to overturn the situation maybe cause you more interested to win than making your self clear, and believe me it is much annoying when we run from work and people to gamespot to have some fun and see that all what you care about is criticizing, maybe i misunderstood you maybe you misunderstood but i going to stop this before it gets annoying to people here so am sorry sharpsgooter for the boring argument and am sorry to you my friend if you felt upset or something .
have a nice day..

For instance, Fallout 3, is categorized as an RPG on gamespot, but just like borderlands, it's also a shooter and is categorized in many different ways in different gaming sites. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallout3/index.html http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081218173713AA9N5lF and even WIKIpedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_3 I agree with your similitude on the rock music quantities compared to the game's genre. Just like different types of music, there are different kindsof games BUT that is not the case. You can call linkin park a RAP-ROCK group but saying that its more of a rap group then a rock group would be wrong and it would also be wrong to do the same thing on videogames. So, sorry but '' but still more like shooting game right " doesn't make any sense to me mate. Please Log In to post.
