You'll probably have difficulty getting it to work in a new PC. I had a SoundBlaster Audigy 2ZS that refused to work with Vista - didn't even bother trying when I moved on to Win 7.

If you hear any hissing or buzzing out of your motherboard's analog outputs, probably. Not sure if it would work on Win7 that well even with Daniel_K's Audigy driver package, though. You'd probably be better off buying a proper X-Fi card (avoid XtremeAudio models at all costs), or a modern C-Media card (Asus, HT Omega, Auzentech non-X-Fi models) if proper DirectSound3D and OpenAL support are of no concern to you.

Got my Audigy 2ZS installed in my Win7 PC that ive taken from my XP machine years ago, no issues with it at all.
