HUDS (head's up displays e.g. character's health bar) can create problems when Plasma TVs are new, so I was trying to think about playing stuff without any kind of HUD on my new plasma tv. Heavy Rain came to mind, but I was wondering if anybody could think of other solid games without HUDs on the screen at all times (many games have fading HUDS that only appear when you take damage then dissapear, which is just fine.)

Gears of War has no HUD unless you reload or weapon select. Then it disappears after. Dead Space is the same way. HUD only appears if you press start or d-pad to bring up weapon select. Brutal Legend has no HUD normally, but icons do appear occasionally in the corner's of the screen to denote things.

Like Adam said, Dead Space. I would break them in by watching a lot of television or movies. :D

Yeah thanks, I will... I just know I'm going to want to play some games on that thing too. I tell myself I won't, but I have a feeling that won't happen. The mind is strong, but the flesh... so very weak. :D

That was my biggest fear of getting a plasma. I hear they give you the best picture for your $$, but I'm so skeptical of the burn-in possibility. We have them where I work at and I have seen some get the picture burned into them, when we have a movie in playing on that tv, then after the movie ends it stays on the menu screen, and once in a while we leave it on that menu screen or forget to press play to start it over, therefore seeing the image stuck in the screen. It does seem to go away, however I have seen the demo of those PS3 move games, which came with Tiger Woods Golf, and the EA logo stayed on this Panasonic plasma for days. I have 4 LCDs in my home, and 1 DLP, but I would like to get a plasma for my gameroom I'm trying to make, but I am a bit scared of this issue.
