The temps jumps to 82c(prime95) in about 15 minutes with 1.27v at 4500mhz, 3700k, Is this normal for this cooler or should I reseat the cooler?

I don't know what is normal, but I know that shouldn't be normal.
Sorry it happens while running prime95 large fft test.Thats impossible.:o Whats your cpu, vcore? I used as5, I know it needs curing time. Are you using push pull setup? I am only using 2 fans. That's 20C higher than mine with an Antec Kuhler 620, so it does seem really high.

Though I do blend, could be why.

Sorry it happens while running prime95 large fft test. Smaller FFTs (length ~200) are going to raise temps more. What is Tjmax for your chip? I like running Prime95 with fixed FFT size of 200, which is basically a worst-case scenario, to gauge hottest temps at a desired voltage.FaustArp105c.
105c. Oh, well, that being the case I wouldn't worry too much. Run some short FFTs to be sure, but you are pretty far away from Tjmax though.[QUOTE="FaustArp"]What is Tjmax for your chip? People seem to get far better results than mine.[QUOTE="FaustArp"]What is Tjmax for your chip? My Kraken X60 reaches 69c in small FFT's Prime95 with the 3770K @ 4.5GHz 1.33v. So his temps seems about right since the 100i performs slightly worse than the X60 according to the reviews out there. I use AS5 and push/pull configuration.[QUOTE="FaustArp"]What is Tjmax for your chip? I am using the NZXT software, my cooler is up right below the two 200mm fans sitting on top of NZXT Phantom. I have a video review of it in my YouTube link. As a reference here is the very similar setup to mine running on Prime95 mixed settings:How do you have your fans set up? Are you using Corsair's software?

I'm curious if the NZXT software will work with the H80i hardware? I'm not a very big fan of the newer i-series Corsair liquid coolers (H100i/H80i), mainly because the software can be unpredictable at times. I'm running an older version of it because the latest firmware screws things up for me. Even so, every once in a while, the CPU isn't detected, thus no temps are given and the fans won't kick into higher gears when needed. It doesn't happen often, but it's frustrating nonetheless.
What are the fans running at? It does seem a bit high compared to my 3570K when I have it at 4.5GHz. I think I only reached 70C during Intel Burn test. horgen123The fans are running at max speed, exhaust mode. i ran ibt and the max temp was 89c, reseated the cooler three times already.Â
This. I don't use Prime95 any more. Intel Burn Test is the way to go.I know if I go above 4.3 Ghz I see major temp increase even without changing voltage. It is not worth it imo. Right now my favorite benchmark is Intel Burn Test. It is even more demanding than prime95.

Can I use as5 for deliding or do I have to use something like mx-4?delid your 3770K and you'll see around 20-25c temp diffrence

I would recomend MX-4 or better yet Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra
you have to be very careful while you are doing it tho, takes time and patience to delid without error, one little mistake and $300 is gone in trash.
