hey guys just ordered all my new computer parts off of newegg today waiting for them to get here later this week. this is my new PC after upgrades:

-Thermaltake Kandalf full tower ATX case

-OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU

-320gb HD space (2x160gb seagate)

-ASUS P5E X38 Intel LGA 775 mobo

-Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) 1066MHz w/ RAM fan on top since I read reviews on these sticks running hot sometimes

-Intel Q6600 2.4GHz CPU (going to overclock once i learn how)

-EVGA 8800GT 512mb GPU

-Zalman 9500 CPU fan

Total: about $1100 w/o shipping and tax (minus the case and hard drives since I already have those from my last custom PC)

Let me know what you guys think. the reason im posting this topic is because I have been posting a lot of topics with various lists of parts and this is the one I have finalized on and FINALLY ordered and its really a thanks to all those that have helped me select this system.

thanks to all those that reply :)

It obviously looks good and expensive, but I think you're overdoing it with the RAM and the fan. Just get cheaper ram and don't bother with cooling it.

lol well too late to tell me what to get since i already ordered it all and im awaiting its arrival lol. and that RAM was actually really cheap it only cost me $130 and the fan was only $20 and people wrote reviews of the RAM getting very hot so I figured why not add this $20 fan that got good ratings and reviews to keep it cool. it will certainly expand its lifespan and increase some airflow in my case (probably very minimal increase though)

i have holes in the top its a thermaltake kandalf case

heres a pic:

thats the best pic i could find with the holes on the top unfortunately but they are plenty plus im going to be adding a fan where those holes are blowing outwards, that is if my gfs brother gives it to me lol, to get some airflow upwards as well
