Just bought two copies of Dead Rising 2 (only the CD Keys) for $47 total. Has anyone here played it? How's the coop?

I managed to get a copy before it was even released. Played the single player, not the coop.
It's a downright riot. Ridiculously fun. Pick up anything and smash hordes of zombies with anything :D
It's not like Left 4 Dead, it's quite different. Left 4 Dead has a 'small group of zombies' as opposed to DR2.
In DR2, zombies are everywhere. The malls are flooded with hundreds of them. Although I haven't played Vanilla DR, it's safe to say that this is a solid title, and worth a purchase.
I've played the first Dead Rising and enjoyed it. The saving system kind of killed it for me though. Took me years to figure out how to properly save. :P I'm excited :DKHAndAnimeYou save by visiting any of the malls washrooms in DR2. VERY fun game. I enjoyed it very much and i'm not usually into this kind of game. But the combination weapons and pure comedic relief is epic.
Awesome. I just wish someone could comment on the multiplayer :PIf you like Dead Rising...then you will LOVE Dead Rising 2.

The controls are very simple, but they feel designed around a console UI.How are the controls with kb/m? Am I going to have to plug in a controller?

Awesome. I just wish someone could comment on the multiplayer :P It's good fun when you play with a friend :) Some randoms can be very retarded though. Fast response :P I'll be playing LAN with my brother (which is why I ordered 2 copies :P)[QUOTE="Prexxus"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] Awesome. Hmm...well I heard the same about Dead Space and it was fine so I guess I'll pick this up and save tons of money over the 360 version I was going to get :DHow are the controls with kb/m? I found it really boring honestly, I had already grown tired of the game by the time I got to the pharmacy.
[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]Awesome. I just wish someone could comment on the multiplayer :P The multiplayer is kinda meh. The Co-op is only the main story line, so if you really want to strive to get the best ending then co-op will only slow you down. Its fun if you just wanna mess around thoe, but you need to use one of your saves. If you like Dead Rising...then you will LOVE Dead Rising 2.

I enjoyed the game a lot. Just finished it and most of the time I did it with a friend. You will definitely need co-op to defeat the bosses, they are super hard in this game.
Overall I really enjoyed the game, the fact that you can humiliate zombies...and yourself.
I only played Terror Is Reality once, it was quite enjoyable but it's more for competitive leaderboard nuts. Co-Op is where the fun is at. Btw, whoever hosts the game is the one who can save the story progress, the other person can only save his/her character stats.
Sounds more than reasonable to me. I'll probably have to judge for myself - some people for example think that Civilization is bad for multiplayer, and I personally think it's the only way to play it. :PI enjoyed the game a lot. That's only...what, five or ten minutes after the tutorial ended?
I'd suggest giving the game another chance since I thought it was all totally awesome, but maybe it just isn't for you. It's definitely one of those love it/hate it games, and timers and escort missions can get on some people's nerves.
It's a lot of fun. The only really bad thing about it is the bosses- those guys are impossible to beat on your first run-through. Expect to fail (if you fail, you can restart the story with your current level and money, so not all is lost) repeatedly. It's too bad the bosses are such a chore, because had they been somewhat reasonable to fight, the game would be great top to bottom.LongZhiZi
I beat most bosses in the first run, well my only one thus far. missed few because of the main story case timer. at lower level the psychoth battles took a very loooong time! one interesting case is the Chef, I did beat him, but I had to go back to earlier save to finish the main case~~"
however I have to do admit, I "cheated" somewhat as in most these tough battles I use a combo weapon a low level Chuck shouldn't have its combo card~~"

I beat almost all of them in my first run too (missing the snipers and snowflake), and I didn't even know about the knife gloves or painkillers in that playthrough - I mainly used conventional weapons, guns and things.
They're not actually too bad once you've learnt their attack patterns. The best strategy I found is mostly counter-intuitive, but there are pretty easy ways of killing, say, the chef in a minute or two, without needing any special combo cards or healing items...but I'll leave it up to you guys to discover. :P

I never used painkiller or quickstep. don't have time to mix juices. I also missed snowflake. took out two snipers becasue they're just too annoying and the two are easy to spot.
chef guy...mmm...something to do with water/soup? or help from surviors?
