what should i expect? any words of wisdom... cooler, case? been searching for a pretty good card and finally bit.

You should be awsome, the card kicks butt at stock and the reference cooler isnt bad , its pretty much the top at the single card solution department at the moment. You can probably overclock much higher but I would opt for silence over performance that you dont need.

Wish this version of 580 was in the 420$ range or less, i would have bought it instead of gtx570 lightning.

haha, i feel ya. was lookin at the 570 as well but decided to spring for this instead. it'll do me good for a whilelonger.

Well since you are rockin OC'd 580 I wouldnt get anything less the 1000W. Something like Corsair, Antec, Seasonic etc.

Your kidd'n? That card should run off any good 650w PSU even with a really OC'ed CPU.

For SLI you would need a good 850W or bigger power supply. A 1000W would give you plenty of headroom for overclocks and/or additional hardware w/o putting much stress on the PSU. Otherwise for a single 580 I would go with swehunt's suggestion or maybe a 750W.

Both the HAF X and 932 would be good as far as airflow goes.
