Hey Guy's,
I'm thinking about picking up Kayne & Lynch: Dead Men..I read some of the reviews but is the game really that bad as the reviewers say it is??

Try the demo.. the reviews are negative for a reason.. (i wont comment on the GS review.. we wont go back to that). Try out the demo.. im sure some people do enjoy the game. I thought the demo was average.. it was good, but wasn't anything overly impressive and with so many other amazing games out there, there isn't the time to play it.Rattlesnake_8the demo gave me the impression that it has plenty of shooting, the truth is that its filled with some scripted events and less take cover and shoot, events like that like "if you get close to windos you will die from snipers" or"shoot the driver of that big truck till the windshield breaks, or FAIL die ad restart" or get into a bar and kidnap someone and try to make it out by running while your teammate carries the hostage.... i woudlnt say its too much action, its mostly story.
I thought it was a decent game but it has zero replay value and the online on 360 and pc is completely dead.
... is the game really that bad as the reviewers say it is?? rrhrle6
No, not at all - imo. My guess is most reviewers played the X360 version and were expecting a GoW-clone.
1. If you're comfortable with the shooting mechanics of Io's Hitman series then you should be okay with K&L.
2. Squad commands aren't too useful - just send them to a postion on map (as covering fire) and leave 'em alone.
3. Lastly, once you're acclimated with the idiosyncrasies of the cover mechanics, which may take about 30mins, you'll be fine.
Did it live up to the pre-release hype? No, few games do, but it's definitely a solid 7.0 and, with a bit more polish, could've easily been an 8.0

Polish? The cover system is horrible, gunplay is weak, it had to be rebuilt... but the rest of the game is pretty good, voice acting, story, level design...It wasn't a bad experience..
