I'm not sure I understand the point of this post.
Each genre of game has it's own desired control method. This seems as silly as those vs. posts.
I don't think he's asking which we think is the better peripheral, and we will naturally use keyboard and mouse for FPS/etc and stick for whatever we use it for, I think he is simply asking which we like the most.
You have pizza for your meal and you have ice cream for desert, but you're still going to have a preference.
Personally, I think that's a bad joystick to be using for the comparison. If you're using the kb/m setup, you should really use the full-on joystick setup. So, here you go. Couple the Cougar HOTAS with a good set of rudder pedals and then we'll do the comparison.
As it stands, I love my Thrustmaster Afterburner Mk. II while playing any kind of flight games (Crimson Skies, iL-2, Falcon 4.0, Freespace 2, Wing Commander...you name it). But, if I'm playing RTS/FPS/TPS/TBS, then it's all about kb/m. However, even then, when I play racing games (NfS or TDU), I needs me my 360 controller.
I prefer a keyboard and mouse myself.
So, here you go.Ein-7919
A somewhat phallic controller with thrustmaster written on it....

Mouse and keyboard for me.
I had that one :P. It is very good, but since I didn't play flight simulators too often I sold it but it was awesome and the digital display gave it an awesome feeling and the throttle is on of the best, way better than Afterburner 2.A somewhat phallic controller with thrustmaster written on it....

You want phallic? Consider where most aircraft place the cyclic/control surface controller. In addition to that, consider how such an itty-bitty controller basically controls the maneuverability of such a large aircraft. Now that's Freudian comedy gold right there.
