Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my keyboard due to a sticky space bar and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. I've been using the Sidewinder X4 for a couple years now and it's been pretty fantastic despite the problem with the space bar (which is tied to wear and tear according to microsoft). I'm looking for something that is moderatly simple, something that is good for all kinds of games and is comfortable to use. I also don't want to spend too much since I just recently upgraded my mouse to a deathadder so I'd prefer to keep it around or below the price of what my sidewinder was ($50-$60). I'd appreciate any and all suggestions :) .

Sidewinder x6 is amazing and for its price (i payed 54.99) i don't think its even beatable. Been using mine since summer 2011 and its like brand new, not a single key wear and i'm using it a lot too.

I'd possibly be interested in the sidewinder x6 considering I've had a great experience with the x4, but it has been discontinued sadly. I've checked several sites like newegg, amazon, frys, and bestbuy... but the x6 seems to be unavailable or insanely priced at these sites.

Microsoft gaming keyboards and mice were discontinued a year or two ago. They no longer make them because they said there was too much competition in that market.

I use to only use Microsoft mice. Really a bummer when they said they were no longer making gaming ones.

Maybe a cooler master mechanical like the quickfire rapid if you don't mind the ten keyless design. or one of the rosewill mechanicals

Shame. I got my Sidewinder X4 for $40 and it's been great.

At this point, the only keyboard I'd consider upgrading to would be the Logitech G710+. If the CM Storm ones had dedicated media keys, I'd also consider them.

And degrade quality when you could just plug them straight into the soundcard.

on my setup i do alot of switching between headphones and my speakers so its convinient to just plug it in instead of unplugging and replugging time after time.Â
