I tried the free pass weekend. For $5 yes. And it comes with a total conversion mod Defense Grid which looks pretty neat (I haven't tried it yet). Killing Floor isn't over the top amazing, but a good game for $5.

Well I don't have them, but imo no. However, it's a good way to support the dev team if you enjoy the game at only $1.99 each. Yeah, exactly. They're neat little additions if you like the game and play it a bunch. I bought both.

As I understand it they are just characters ? No maps or weapons, or anything like that ? If so then I refuse to buy them. That is the kind of DLC that gives DLC a bad name IMO.

Hahah.. that's funny, because the last character pack coincided with the release of free maps, weapons, perks, and perk upgrades. I think their version of DLC is a great way to support a game you enjoy, and it doesn't give an edge, just a fun little addition. Would it not be WORSE if you had to pay for new weapons?

Can't say the same :P got it 20 minutes before the sale and I also got the two DLCs, because they have some awesome skins for this game that I do not like, I only got it just to play with some friends.

That's some bad timing right there... Well I paid $15 when it was released, plus the two character packs, so.. ~ $20. The game is still easily worth it at that price.
