I think it activates on steam?

Unfortunately gamersgate requires pay pal which is an annoyance :(

No it doesn't. I use a debit card on GG all the time.
Killing Floor is fantastic if you're in the mood for a cooperative zombie romp. The objective is to survive all the waves of zombies and defeat the end boss. A simplistic approach, but the guns and gunplay are a lot of fun.

How active is the online? Sorry if I seem picky for a sub-$5 game :P

I'm also cautious about purchasing pure online games because the online play has a tendency to really die out quickly. I'm quite happy to report that it's exceedingly active and has been for a long time. Servers are broken down by difficultly level, and I never run out of servers to play. I think the main reason it continues to be active is because you really do not need a lot of people to play and enjoy the game. The game is just as fun playing with two other people as five or six.

Really? Made me use paypal just the other day. :(
Can't find any servers? I allowed it through Windows firewall. Not sure what else to do. I don't have trouble finding matches in any of my other Steam games.
[QUOTE="Cwagmire21"]Yes, the game is def worth it.Is this game worth it? Never heard of it. Just picked up their deal on Metro 2033 a few days ago.

I agree, it's worth 5$. I think I bought the Killing Floor Bundle for like 10$ when it was on sale during the Steam Summer Sale, and it's pretty fun. I don't know if it's really worth more than 5$ for just the game alone, but for 5$ it's a good spend.
This game is boring as hell. Just Co-op makes it extremely repetitive. Graphics looks dated. Left 4 Dead 2 is way better and it has other game modes. Don't waste your money on this game. NerubianWeaverAs I see it, Killing Floor is way better and more entertaining than L4D2. Killing Floor's shooting mechanics alone place it above L4D2.
They're not even similar, both are good for different reasons, but I enjoyed KF a lot more even tho at first I was one of the L4D supporters, it might have been great (L4D) but Valve went on with L4D 2 that's awkward in every way but has way more content (than L4D not KF).Game is basically a low quality Left 4 Dead knock-off. Not recommended.

Killing Floor is great. For 5$ it is definitely a good deal. I have over 500 hours on KF and only about 80 hours on L4D 2.
KF has great weapon mechanics.
Killing Floor mod for UT 2004 was released in 2005 and Left 4 Dead was released in 2008...
Anyways, the games have different gameplay and not at all similar. So give KF a try and than decide which game you prefer. Some people play both games because they feel different.

It's great! its one of the most played steam games and i've got around 80 hours into it. Its a co-op survival game, but its a lot more tactical.
Is the sale over? It shows the game for $14.99 here

Its ALWAYS on sale on steam, it'll be on for halloween most likely. they always do seasonal updates. They do loads of events and update it alot. a christmas event with new enemy skins and a new map, a summer carnival map + new enemy skins, a portal related map for the portal 2 release, new guns and other new naps, and it's always on sale during these periods, most likely will be on sale for halloween.

Alright, I guess I'll get it then. I'm finding it extremely hard to find nice people to play L4D2 with because my friends stopped playingGame is basically a low quality Left 4 Dead knock-off. Not recommended.

Left 4 Dead came out in 2008. The original Killing Floor launched in 2005.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I find it to be pretty fun. Also, I find a quality game under $4 to be a steal - not a waste.
LOL l4d is for toal noobs, it requires no FPS skills of true warriors. Also you are anoyying people in L4d. In KF you are awesome people. Also l4d gameplay is move 5 feet away from team you are dead. In KF if you are a true warrior you can solo Hell On Earth yourself, even with a garbage team.(Difficulty is scaled to players unlike noob l4d) Also KF is older.Game is basically a low quality Left 4 Dead knock-off. Not recommended.
