Killing Floor: Connecting to server issue

I can't seem to connect to any server. I've tried several different servers to no avail. I connect to servers on other games like Left 4 Dead or Black Ops just fine. What puzzles me is that when you're trying to connect to a server in Killing Floor, there isn't even a loading bar! Just a black screen that says connecting (press F10 to cancel) with an IP address.

Furthermore, when you use your ironsights, 50% of the time it won't aim down. Any tips on how to fix the connection issues? If it helps, I'm using AVG anti-virus. Cable broadband with 22-28 mb/s. I even turned on dynamic connection.

I am unable to connect to a server again. This is very frustrating. I played one game so far on one server. I've allowed Killing Floor in Windows Firewall. I have no clue how to open up ports within my router.Elann2008
