Its like the old might and magic games, turn based strategy with some rpg elements.

Personally I think its an aquired taste, but I have enjoyed all 3 of them so far, have a nice old school charm to em (:

I am always on the lookout for games that don't require a mouse. I like to have something to play while on road or plane trips and it's always kind of a hassle to get enough space for a mouse. Would this fall into that category as well?

King's Bounty is probably one of my favorite recent games in the past 2 years. All of them were great, and for under $10 for all three it's a steal imo. Like mentioned above they are like the older* might and magic games, with a heavier emphasis on RPG and tactics instead of strategy. *technically King's Bounty series predates Might and Magic :P

It requires the use of a mouse quite heavily, but it's a slow paced game. I'm sure you could handle playing it on a trackpad, although it may start to feel even slower that way.

I've played King's Bounty, after playing the original way back when. It's worth $8 alone, so the other two are a bonus. It has a long campaign with plenty of quests. 8)

Seconded, I don't think it even uses the keyboard tbh besides optional hotlinks to menus and stuff.
