At least it is suppose to be. No sign of it yet, I'll be pretty PO'd if only out for Xbox. Seems like a good sign to release a demo weeks before release, looking forward to it.

game looks great, looking forward to playing the demo, didn't know it was released today. thanks for the info
I'm really looking forward to this title. Man i hope it's out when i get home from work.
Just finished the last R.A Salvatore book, so i have big anticipations for the lore and story of this game considering how great his books are.
(For those who don't know, RA Salvatore is a D&D fantasy writer, probably most famous for creating Drizzt.)
This game is pretty awesome and they designed it for all 3 platforms differently. No versions are ported and all versions play to it's platforms strengths. The UI even changed itself automaticly if you plug in an xbox controller on the PC in real time!
My only gripe is that the way the map is layed out is pretty corridorish. Each zone just conntects itself to another with a corridor like lots of bubbles witha maze inside of it =/ Still the game is beautiful

That's really nice to hear.
Big question: have you got the PC demo? It looks like you do.

No ive been blessed enough to play the final build :P The demo is quite buggy in it's condition but rest assured there is a lot of fixes made. The demo is an older build of the game. Also the PC demo is not released yet i'm afraid it'll be a little later on Origin. This game has been off my radar. From looking at some gameplay, it kinda looks like Zelda or Darksiders, is that a fair comparison?
People are saying it's more Elderscrolls + Diablo + Fable...I guess the developers drew inspiration from many places.
I just played through the demo on xbox. I really don't see any comparisons to elder scrolls games at all minus the fantasy setting. It's more like a Fable type of game. It's kind of open, but you can't go everywhere. Jumping is context sensitive, as in you can't jump unless you're prompted for it. The combat is combo based.
That said, it's really fun. If the game is as big as the devs claim, then it's probably a lot better than Fable, so don't let my comparison worry you.
Finished everything in the demo and it was pretty...underwhelming to say the least, graphics aren't that great, yet the game has quite a few performance problems, camera and the controls are pretty bad, sound too,I don't know what happened but it's not the game I saw in the trailers and gameplay videos the developers released. It feels terribly unpolished, the combat was the only decent thing.
Pre paid the special edition 200 buck version..Played it on my xbox the demo..Its amazing game in just the few minutes i played..Its got a lot of nuts and bolts that make this game fun in combat..Game will be fun for years to come..Im going to try a lot of different character builds for sure..
I also finished the demo just now. My impression? Characters seem a bit daft and the dialogues are not really interesting. Seems very cartoon networky. But the combat is good, and the main story could be good. I'm not trying to sound elitist, but all in all this is not really a game for a guy who prefers more "mature" rpgs, (like The Witcher and Dragon Age Origins etc.)
Definitely not a release day purchase. Maybe later on though.
I won't be surprised if it doesn't do well--IIRC it was originally intended to be an MMO, but for whatever reason, dev scaled back their ambitions and made it SP. So what we're left with is a SP game with MMO-quality graphics (ie, not system-punishing Metro 2033 quality) and game mechanics. Who knows? Hope I'm wrong. attirexIt's certainly crafted like a MMO.
The way I heard it is the MMO is still in the works, and that after they acquired Big Huge Games they used this as more to get the lore/name/ect out there and to help fund the MMO.
Not to bad, combat and controls are the best thing so far imo. Im not sure how the story will go, cant tell much from a demo we shall see in the full version. Some nice art in some spots to imo.
It definatly has some mmo similarities and felt like a combination of Fable/Neverwinter Nights/Torchlight.
Nothing really blew me away though, but as a huge rpg fan im looking forward to playing the full game, looks like a good time waster :P
I can't held but feel like something is missing though
[QUOTE="red12355"][QUOTE="dommeus"]Turn off post processing. OK I'll do that. Is everything having this issue?Anyone else not able to actually get the game to display? The menu, intro and character creation all work fine, but the game is just black screen.

Let me guess: ATI user?
I'm downloading it off Steam atm. To tell you the truth I'm not really interested after seeing the gameplay vids a few months back, just want the ME3 items. Not that I will use them (the disc launcher maybe), but I'm just OCD about getting all the bonus stuff if I can.
Downloading now. Is it similar to FABLE? Cause I really hated that game.FelipeInside
Sort of. But it's also similar to every RPG ever made (in a good way). I hated Fable but loved this demo. No fart jokes here, only awesome combat, variety and flexibility. The visuals are sooooo colourful:lol: I'll get the Steam version.
After FINALLY getting my ME3 gun I am so pissed off I had to waste 90+ minutes on that piece of junk. Time-gated demo completion FTL.SerOlmyIt's not THAT bad. It's got fluid combat movement and some interesting things going for it, graphics are pretty too. I wouldn't call it junk.
They made no attempt to streamline the controls for the PC, which are abysmal, might as well plug in my XBox controller. Who can hold the X key and still access their movement keys? And who in the hell uses "F" for interact instead of "E"? Not to mention the visuals, which are about on par with WoW.SerOlmy
I can hold the X key with the movement key, not that hard.
I agree with the F, but it's not set in stone that E needs to be used.
I guess with a controller it would work better, but I had no issues with my Mouse and KB.
Graphics are nothing like WoW. It's as colourful but not the same.
Game isn't anything groundbreaking, but looks like a nice little action RPG. The Destiny thing is pretty cool too.
It's a great game, good visuals, very good performance (The biggest drop in FPS was during combat with tons of visuals effects and on towns and it only dropped to 50-45 FPS on max settings on 1080p), fluid combat, interesting story and superb voice acting. Definetely getting this one.

The game is mediocrity at its finest. It's not bad, but after playing the demo there is no wayI'm paying more than $20 for that game. I'll wait a few months.
Gonna try considering I have been calling it a Fable-wannabe.. and I hate Fable 2 and 3 with a passion. I'm willing to try the demo though.Elann2008No, it isn't Fable to me. Besides, the open-world part will give you a good idea about the game. Fast-travel works very well. I don't think Fable had a side-quest with an enchanted wolf either.
