KOTOR MMO to be revealed within 30 days!

i have never played an MMO before like WOW or WAR simply because I fear it will take up my life as I already play alot of games

However this MMO has me excited

Hopefully they still make a SP, but with Mass Effect 2 coming out as well I doubt it

I hope it's all just a misunderstanding. They can't just ruin the KotOR franchise by making an MMO! Even a 1 VS 1 MP game would be too much.stappy

No it's not a mistake. It's pretty much common knowledge they are working on a KOTOR based MMO. This is just going to be the offical announcement / unveiling of the game.

SWG was ruined by Sony Online Entertainment. When it first launched it was actually pretty good, then SOE destroyed whatever was good about the game.

I would really want a KotOR 3, but first I want them to finish the ME series, both games and then start working on it, but there is a rumor about LA and Obsidian that they are working on a game ;) and they do have a lot of threads on their forums about what would the fans expect from a new KotOR game :).DanielDust

Me too. A KotOR 3 on the Mass Effect engine, with a few changes, would rock!

Yeah, Obsidian did well with the approach, but I still didn't like it. However, I would still like to see KotOR as an MMO, it has the potential to be one of the best...Just like SWG had, until SoE blew it.

I agree with the uniqueness of the story, and I admit, I would really like to know what happened to Revan and the Exile. Are they still alive? Where are they? and all that stuff. And I agree, I think it would've been best to be kept as a SP RPG rather than an MMO. However, I'm still curious as to how it comes out :)

Yeah, that's why. Obsidian hadn't done too bad though, but just missed the bar BioWare set.

Dumb idea.. We have entirely too many MMORPG's as of right now.

What I wouldn't mind though is a set up like NWN's.. Big single player, toolset, possible cooperative multiplayer.. ANd the ability to make servers with own consistent enviroment and modules..
This is all I ask from them.

Hopefully they will only base it in that time period and not on the story line of the first two games.

I'd be willing to give it a try if there is a free trial period.
