This. Even if you don't like all of them, at least you have more games that you can try, if you'll like all of them, even better. Also TF 2 is a little better than L4D imo and that's just 1/5 of the pack.
The Orange Box, it would be a bad idea to get L4D now since L4D2 is coming out in a few months. Plus, the Orange Box is more worth your money since it comes with five games.
I honestly don't find TF2 all that fun. But don't get L4D unless you've got a bunch of friends eager to play with you. After playing 50 hours of L4D I haven't touched the game, and it's been probably about a month (this is even with friends telling me to log on and play. There is just not enough content in the game, and it gets boring fast doing the same thing over and over again.
That being said I've played about 25 hours of TF2 and don't play that game either anymore. It's not a shooter; you can be a spy or an engineer or a medic and then the majority of your time will be doing other tasks. I dunno it's really kiddish and although I did enjoy it, it became a borefest compared to my other games. Half life 2 is a great game and if you don't have it then by all means get the orange box. It's cheap and it's worth it for HL2 alone.
