I have never tried the Salmosa or Lachesis. When I was buying my mouse I was choosing between the Death Adder and the Lachesis. I picked the Death Adder not because it was cheaper but because I thought having 4000 DPI was overkill. Even though you can adjust it. The final factor for choosing the Death Adder was that it was speciafically right handed, The Lachesis is for both hands but I figured it would be awkward to hold. I love my Death Adder and it looks sweet as well. You won't be diappointed.

the copperhead is not out dated! it is a 2000dpi 1000HRz polling mouse. i like the feel of it, it is a big mouse, for those of us with big hands. it has a great feel too.

I believe that the Salmosa is not out yet. Even so, it isn't supposed to be compared to the likes of the Death Adder and Lachesis.

It has a much lower polling rate and DPI. Add to the fact that it is only $40 MSRP too. The Salmosa does look pretty good though, but if you were to go for it then I would just suggest you pick up the Krait instead for lesser.

Death Adder is overall, a better mouse for the value IMO. Lachesis just don't cut it for its price.

I have 3 Deathadders. 1 for work, 1 for home, and 1 for travel. Yes, I love the mouse that much. It reminds me of the old school Intellimouse Explorer 2.0.

I just bought a Lachesis yesterday, and tried it out for a while, but ultimate decided to return it. The mouse didn't feel as comfortable as the Deathadder (I'm right handed) and the side buttons were awkward to click. The mouse pointer on screen also quivers a little bit when you hold it, probably due to how sensitive the mouse is. Either way, I find the Death Adder to be superior for my needs.

My only three complaints about the Deathadder after seeing the Lachesis was there's no on the fly sensitivity adjustment, and the scroll wheel grinds against the right mouse button when you hold the right mouse button down (MMO players need to hold the right mouse button down all the time so they can turn their characters). Lastly, the middle mouse wheel scrolls too easily. I wish there was a tad more tension like the Lachesis.

If Razer ever comes out with a Deathadder II with all those changes I mentioned. I'll buy one even if it's $150.

I have the salmosa, and I'm prefectly happy with it. But I'm one of those "fingertip grip" user, dude wth, i was shocked when I heard they have a name for that crap :P Back to the mouse, my only complaint about it, it's mega-super-duper-ultra-omega light, and I'm used to heavy mouses, like raptor m3. And another thing, some people may say "Who cares?", well, I do, thing is, it's a razer, so you'll expect some LEDs on it, which the salmosa doesn't have. Also, there are no extra buttons. I would like one extra button, at least one, but oh well. All in all, I'm perfectly happy with it though. You get used to the weight, you don't need super light-effects on your mouse for playing, and the extra button.. well, screw it, you have like 2 millions keys on your keyboard, wth?

the way you grip the mouse is SUPER important in determining the mouse you want. i have a razer salmosa and i use fingertip grip. i'm happy with the weight of it (i don't think it's too light) and i didn't want any extra buttons.
