Can Anyone help me? For some reason whenever i take my laptop out of sleep the CPU is all the way at 50% constantly, and the process taking up all the CPU is something called NT Kernel and System, listed under the image name system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Seems like your computer is not fully coming out of sleep mode. Vista for some reason struggles at using the sleep and hibernation functions. I had to stop my desktop from going to sleep or hibernating as it was causing all kinds of problems. I'm running Windows 7 currently and am able to put my computer to sleep and hibernate. In saying that I believe that it is a problem with the Vista kernel. Can you kill the processes that are taking up all of your system resources?

The only thing that I can say at this point is to not use Sleep mode or Hibernate. Both modes, after doing some digging, seem to cause instability in Vista. This problem has been fixed with Window's 7. What I would do is tell you computer to turn off its display instead of going into Sleep mode thus eliminating this from happening. Ill keep digging and let you know if I uncover anything.
