I doubt you'd be able to find a reasonably priced laptop that can play Crysis well...
I would recommend trying to find a laptop with a decent video card in it. If you do, I'm sure the processor and other stuff will also be good because video cards are generally in the higher end models anyway. If you dont' know where to start looking, the only place I can think of is Alienware, but I hear they're over-priced. Look around places like Newegg, too... you just may find a really good deal.
However, playing Crysis on high settings on a laptop? That's... pretty unrealistic, at least right at the moment. I think, anyway. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
remember!!!!
laptop+ gaming= NOT CHEAP
gaming+cheap= NOT ON A LAPTOP
laptop+cheap= NOT FOR GAMING
hope this helps
but i do suggest teh dell xps laptops they are quite good for gaming but not sure if it could handle crysis

Well said. :)
when it comes to gaming for laptops look at the big 3
dell
alienware
voodoo
i say big 3 because these are the companies most mentioned when looking for a good laptop for gaming, believe me i got a dell xps and that was after a good month of looking for what i could afford and what the differences were
Go with dell. You can get a geforce 8600M GT, 2 G Ram, 2.2 Ghz core duo for less than 2,000 dollars.
My first suggestion would be to post this at the pc hardware forum here. They're pretty good.
These guys here at www.notebookreview.com are very good. You can get lots of help from them with the reviews and forums. In particular, in this forum, you can fill out a little questionnaire, and they'll come up with suggestions for you. If you're looking for a big name, the Dell XPS line is good, and Asus makes good notebooks as well.
If you're willing to go off the beaten track, howeve, you could get a mac. I got my macbook pro about a month ago, and it's great. With education discounts, for the equivalent of about $1500, I got a 15" notebook with T7500 2.2 Ghz C2D processor, 2 GB RAM @ 667 Mhz, Nvidia 8600M GT with 128 MB RAM (boosted to 512 total), and bluetooth and just about every wingding you could think of. Of course, you would have to buy windows separately and dual boot into it, but I've been doing that, and it runs great.
I have a relatively cheap laptop that's my main computer and it can play FEAR on maximum settings without any load delay or FPS loss.

You'll have to buy another 1GB of ram to put in but that's pretty cheap.
OK im getting a laptop soon and I still want to play computer games, and i was wondering what are some good laptops that run games very good like i want a laptop that will be able to play crysis and stuff at high settings. Or if you know anysites that review laptops that would be very helpful, thanks... (i was thinking of an alienware laptop what are some good ones or if you know a cheaper laptop that works the same that would be great.) :)aaman4567
Don't buy a laptop to play games. They have a severely limited life span for that. Get a cheap laptop and take the extra money you didn't spend on it and buy a good desktop.
it's not worth it to get a gaming laptop. i have one that they suck for the following reasons.
1. really heavy. they are like 2x or more the weight of a normal one.
2. cost/performance. they cost way more than the pc counterpart and don't perform as well.
3. battery-life. that better video will eat your battery-life up.
4. noise. they are really noisy because of extra fans. you won't want them on during a meeting or in a small room.
5. longevity. when you're gpu doesn't cut it anymore there's no upgrade path.
