how old?

Anyway, install avast! for the viruses. Do a fresh install of the os on the other one and install just a browser like firefox...that should speed up your browsing

I hate people who lose their OS discs that came with their laptops/desktops... that includes every person who doesn't give a crap about their laptop and then whine when it's broken... Anyway, can you just install avast and lavasoft's ad-adware? Though that won't speed it much tbh, once Windows is bloated, you can almost never repair it.

Use a bootable cd to reinstall the OS(reformat not needed). Just do a clean install. In the future you need a decent firewall like outpost, and stop downloading random torrents. And if you DO keep downloading them, run them in Sandboxie first. If they crash for no reason, it's probably malware. But Sandboxie won't let it harm your system :)

Better yet - install Linux. Its free, good for old hardware, good for Internet surfing, and less likely to pick up a virus is the process.

How long has the laptop been infected? After a few days you just can't trust to ever trust it to be truly 'clean' anymore - Reformat.

Hey woah, woah.. it is my Grans computer.. she was given it a couple years ago by a friend who bought a new one. My grans computer is just really slow.. She know's nothing about computers so she wouldn't be keeping it running smoothly, i am asking quick ways to try and improve it's speed, It literally takes 5 minutes to open up something at the worst of times. The laptop just has alot of viruses.. looking for a good program to remove them all.

I'm not stupid i know how to avoid viruses.. Was actually upload by my sister.. she saved what she believed to be a picture but it was an .exe file. so when she opened it the computer was riddled with viruses.

research the laptops, many have factory reset features which just require you to hit a key during startup.
