I just purchased a new hp dual core notebook that has a nvidia go6150 and the highest I can get the memory for the thing is 128mb through settings in the bios. I was wondering if it was easy or impossible to upgrade the gpus of laptops or stuck with what you got type situation

Go to your laptops support website and look. Only a few notebooks can have the GPU upgraded, but most can't.

Impossible. The only option are 2 new external GPU's coming out for laptops, but they will be expensive ($100 just for the unit and another however much a PCIe card costs). As of right now, there is nothing you can do
