I currently have a dell inspiron 6400 and I want to play morrowind, but I don't know if it will work. I don't have any graphics or video cards, only the stock one that comes with the laptop. I have 1g of RAM, I am using vista with a genuine intel(r) cpu with 1.73 ghz and a 32- bit operating system.

I don't know much about computers so if you need any more information just ask

I'm not sure about the compatibility of the graphics card, but in all other areas you should be fine.

As I said, I am not to familiar with computers, so can you recommend a graphics card.... or are graphics cards even compatible with laptops?

I also use a laptop for gaming. I have a Dell XPS M1530 with an Nvidia 8400 graphics card. It's the card that came with the computer, but I can run Oblivion IV: The Elder Scrolls on the highest graphics. I honestly don't know much about computers, graphics cards in particular, but I'm pretty sure you can buy a new graphics card and have it installed in your laptop. I think. I've never played morrowind, but I can tell you that the graphics are not that good, so I'm sure your laptop will be able to run it.

You won't be able to upgrade the video card on that laptop. You are stuck with it (one of the downsides to a laptop for gaming). Someone will say there IS a way and link you to a webpage, but it's gonna cost you more money and headaches than buying a new PC.

Please check the Can You Run It sticky thread for information. It has a few tools that can scan your computer or laptop and tell you if you can run certain games. They aren't perfect tools but pretty good
