Hey guys,

I was wondering if their is ne way to tell what kind of ram my laptop uses without opening up the slot on the bottom?  I want to upgrade, so i need to know how many pins-- I already know its ddr2.  Another issue i have is that there is only 2 slots so i need to figure out if it has 2-512 sticks or 1-1gig stick.  Please let me know if there is ne way to figure this out without opening it up

Thanks

You could use CPU-Z, Everest, Belarc Advisor, Sisoft Sandra or PC Wizard to see what RAM type you have. Apart from that, your manual shoudl specify this as well. It will be labeled SO-DIMM, but you will need to find out what specific speed of RAM is supported.
