Hey guys I need some help, I've slimmed my selections down to 2 possible choices for a laptop. What I was looking for is a relatively cheap (sub $1000) laptop that would be a college work horse, but also would work as a reliable gaming laptop. I was looking for anything with 4 GB of RAM or above and something that doesn't have an integrated graphics card. I've narrowed my search down to these two http://review.zdnet.com/product/laptops/hp-pavilion-dv6-2088dx/33894656?tag=trunk;content -HP - AMD Turion II processor - 8 GIGS of RAM!! - 500 GB hard drive -ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 - I found it at a price of $630 flat at Best Buy OR http://review.zdnet.com/product/laptops/sony-vaio-nw-series-vgn-nw275fs-core-2-duo-t6600-22-ghz-155-tft/33858033?tag=content;col1 -Sony VAIO - 4 GB of RAM - Intel Core 2 Duo - 320 GB hard drive -ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 -Its priced at $770 at Best Buy So I'm wondering what would be the better value? The HP is cheaper and has a whopping 8 gigs of RAM, but does the AMD processor detract any from performance? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

go with the sony vaio man.i have one(in my sig).they have great built quality and excellent screen.and what the hell do you need 8 gigs of ram for in otherwise such a weak hp laptop. the vaio is very much balanced.in notebooks core 2 duo beats any amd offering(see notebookcheck.net).the hp laptop's 4200 is not a discrete graphic ,it is an integrated graphic card.but the 4570 is a dedicated card.

About your laptop in your sig.. Can it handle modern games ? I mean like Modern Warfare 2, Crysis, Arma II, etc.. I'm also planning to buy a laptop that has an ATI HD 4650 too and a 2.66 GHz clock speed.
