pls help-

inter i7 2630qm 2.00ghz,

8gb ddr3 ram

1 tb HDD

NVIDIA Geforce 540M 1gb graphic card,

windows 7 premium

these are specs of a medium budget ASUS laptop i saw recently at a store going for a discount sale,

how good is it?any idea or comments on what to expect from it when it comes to gaming??say how about running crysis 2 on it??

How much is it? It's not really going to play modern games above medium-low settings

Yeah depends on the price as to wether it's worth it, it's not bad, but the graphics card isn't mind blowing. It would definitely run Crysis 2 on the lowest settings at 1280 x 720, because my laptop has a 330M GT in it which is probably a bit worse than that graphics card, and it can run Crysis 2 on those settings. You'd probably get a mixed bag really, I can run a fair few games on high settings that came out in the past sort of 4 or 5 years, but then the newer stuff like the Witcher 2 is only just running on low settings.

It's a 2nd class latop GPU, which is still fine for any game up to date yet. Maxing them out could be pushing it, but it'll play them at very respectable frames.
