Look into ASUS Gaming Laptops. Alienware are also good but overpriced in some cases.

What are you looking for; 'gaming' laptop, multimedia laptop, ...? What's your budget for it? Where do you live? (so we know where to look for a laptop) Oh and what do you mean by oversized? The actual size of the laptop?

I just bought an ASUS G53SW. It runs everything Ive thrown at it and is very cool and quiet. It is not the slimmest laptop you will find but it is still portable. It was also under a grand which was a big selling point for me.

^^ Though, I have an Alienware. The trick is to not get the "top-of-the-line" when it comes to Alienware. Get what you need: Mine was ~1500usd at the time, and even less now. I have hardly any problems with running games. I know that's a bit much when it comes to a system for some people, but I needed the portability, and my Dad was nice enough to hit me up with his discount from Dell.

I suppose you get what you pay for.

I've got an Alienware M17x which is a clunky laptop but plays The Witcher2 maxed out.
