If I get the latest computer, with all the latest components for eg. latest intel processor, graphics cards and etc. how long would it be till i need to upgrade my pc again, to keep up to the standards of high performance demanding games for eg. the new Tom Clancy Ghost Recon coming out SOONN :D!!!!!averagegaamerreally depends on how new the tech, if you'll get lets say HD5970 4Gb x3, 16Gb DDR3 2Ghz, Core i7 980X 3.33Ghz - you'll be able to play games on high graphics for about 3-4 years

If he gets a killer system like that I think it'll last for a little more than 3-4 years. It seems we've hit the roof of graphics at the moment and we need a new breakthrough (Crysis was a breakthrough graphics wise) Anyways most of the games at the moment runs on Unreal Engine 3, if Epic won't be that butthurt by the time they create UE4 the next half of games would run on that.

Yeap this, hardware has overtaken requirements by a huge amount.
We probably wont see the next Crysis till the current gen consoles start dying off in preparation for the next batch.

or if someone gets the pair to actually try and push modern tech to the limit with a pc exclusive.. like shattered horizons is okay but we could be doing alot more. i personnaly get a huge kick if opfpRR was that kick in the pants.. and personnaly i think codemasters are just the people to do it. will it be, ehh probably not at best it will use hd 4800's and 9800series gpu's but i think if they really set their midn to it they could BURY the legacy crysis left us with.

Dunno, Codemasters making great arcade sim racers that can run on almost any PC (taking average textures, combining them with cool effecs) and that looks great. If I get the latest computer, with all the latest components for eg. latest intel processor, graphics cards and etc. how long would it be till i need to upgrade my pc again, to keep up to the standards of high performance demanding games for eg. the new Tom Clancy Ghost Recon coming out SOONN :D!!!!!averagegaamer
probably a 5850 given the newest tom clancy game will just be another console port not pushing anything.
LOL. but for cereal, quad gtx 480 plus i7-6core is obviously the way to go. plus multiple SSDs, 16GB 1600MHz ram etc.

Oh really? hexa CrossFire?...yeah...why do you guys want to give advices to someone else since YOU dont know in the first place what your talking about???
The best thing on planet earth, that money could buy at this moment would be 480's GTX in 4-way SLI config.(Ofc if ATI would have decent drivers support and CrossFire would work like nVidia's counter part SLI...then the best setup would be HD 5870x2(ASUS Ares) in quad CrossFireX config.
P.S. And 16GB of RAM will sometimes work against you...
