I was looking at a front panel LCD temp sensor/fan controller unit to put in my tower, since i have 2 fans in my case not controller right now, and it would add some flair. Do they work, are they easy to install, and are they worth the money??

Hi Are you finding that your fans are too loud so you want to turn them down?
Some motherboards have a fan speed control in the bios and/or software. It is temperature
controlled however and will turn up the fans if the case air heats up.The fans
must be plugged into the fan headers on the motherboard itself for it to work.
Otherwise, you can plug the fans into a controller which in turn plugs into
a four pin Molex connector from the power supply. Another alternative is to by
Antec fans for example, some of which come with a 3 speed switch to regulate
the fan speed. As far a using a fan speed controller,I have never used one but they have
fancy ones that fit into a front bay and light up.
Dont those Antec fans have built in 3 speed controllers already?yea i got two antec 3 pin fans for my antec 1200 case, and want to control them with a front LCD thingy. are these good?

I've been looking into fans (for 3.5" bay) lately as well, but contemplating purchase.
Anyways, I found these (see below). I don't totally trust the website, but perhaps you can check Newegg for similar models, or the website of a computer store near you.

Personally, I wouldn't go over $40. I haven't installed one yet, but if you have installed any internal computer hardware, I can't see why you couldn't. And like any computer hardware installation, the only problem I can see is wire management.
