I just bought a new monitor ( Samsung 225BW) it's the first LCD monitor i have purchased. I like in alot but it really puts a strain on my eyes. More than my CRT did. While im gaming everything is fine and my eyes dont get strained that fast., But when im surfing the web my eyes hurt alot. I've tried adjusting the resoulution, contrast, and brightness levels but no luck.

Could it be that my eyes arnt adjusted to the LCD yet? Does anyone else have this probelem and are there any solutions to this probelem?

I had that at first...Set the refresh rate to what it is sappose to be. Im pretty sure Windows XP/ Vista defaults it to 60hz. Soo yeah do that, and if your eyes are still strained...Youll get used to it. :p

Read up on techniques for reducing eye strain. Some people are simply more sensitive to light and rapid movement than others.

If you still have your crt monitor connect it again and try to web surf or to game, if your eyes start to hurt then you should go to the eye doctor.
