IS the LED engine really worth it? I just found this GREAT deal

One of the best deals in my opinion in the market since it's so huge, great picture quality, and cheap. Then there are standard DLPs like this

I like how it comes with another 360! I already have a 360, but this one might have HDMI and that could be useful! Of course the LED looks to be the better deal, but how much better are LEDs? Do they have better viewing angles, especially vertical viewing angles?

Also are slim LEDs really any good for their extra price, PERFORMANCE wise? Or they're just more expensive because they're slimmer?

You would do much better over at AVSForum. You won't find many "experts" on displays here. Most of the info you get here will be just plain wrong.

It's really convenient how you have to wait for a mod to approve the thread before it's posted, and I want answers now lol. Well I found that that LEDs are much better, last MUCH MUCH longer, etc. Now I just have to choose between Slim LEDs and regular LEDs.

I would strongly recommend checking out an LED in-store. While LED is a superior tech on paper, many people are of different opinions regarding display quality versus a traditional DLP or LCoS.

The main advantage LED based DLP's have over their color wheel based traditional DLP counterparts is the immunity to the "rainbow effect". You also don't have to replace the expensive lamps. Other than that they are pretty much the same.
