The Call of Duty games are my most played games ever (the best FPS multiplayer games ever, IMO) so I would definitely go with MW or MW2, but everybody has different tastes in games, so you will have to pick the one that you think you will like the most.
Call of Duty games break sales records for a reason, though. ;)
You're going to get a lot of different answers here. You have two games that are one of the same, and then you have something totally different (L4D2). If you like zombie shooters, then I would go with L4D2. There's a good amount of replayability but you may be turned off by the small amount of campaign maps. There are user created maps, but personally, I didn't really care for those. I've tried most of the "recommended" user created maps.
