Hello! I'm just wondering if any of you guys have any cool L4D3 ideas for New Infected, Locations, Weapons, Survivors, etc. I came up with two special infected and some weapons... The Glider, The Pack Leader, Dog Infected... I uploaded the video on youtube if you are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9ofW39uUyg Enjoy and please post some ideas!

I would love to see developers focus on some random map generation. Building locations being randomly generated so you aren't playing the same game over and over. I love LFD2, but like most games it loses some of its fun when you know all of the best locations to defend against a zombie mob. I'm sure it would take some serious time and programming that most publishers aren't willing to wait for, but I think that could be the next big step in gaming. It's possible that they haven't done it already because then they wouldn't be as likely to get players interested in new DLC maps, etc. Do you want to sell a million copies of a FPS game with future DLC at $10 to $15 a pop, or ten million copies of a FPS game with random level generation?

The problem with randomly generated maps is that they're usually of much lower quality than premade ones.

Would be nice if you they included some form of branching, where you can choose which route to take (say 1 route is a tunnel, dark but plenty of places to defend from, 2 street level where it's easier to get ambushed but the route is faster, 3 across several bridges and through some parks, open terrain but more zombies attack)

i would like to see the mass of zombies toned down.. i would like to see this series take a turn for how resident evil outbreak series was, make ammo more scarce, less zombies but more dangerous ones, add some puzzle features opposed from just going from point a to point b and killing everything in your path. and most importantly a more scary atmosphere.. aside from hard rain i didnt feel any atmospheric creepiness.

I like the idea of survivors starting in seperate areas and meeting up halfway through the first level.

Dead Island looks like it will correct the flaws of Left 4 Dead.

You're right! I for one cannot wait to have to run away from zombies because I've run out of stamina after attacking the torso of a zombie with a broom! Imagine the suits sitting around, designing the game!

My suggestion: make Half Life 3/episode 3 before they make Left for Dead 3!

I'd like randomly generated portions of maps. I wouldn't mind if the majority of the map stayed static, but adding 2-4 areas in the maps which generate randomly would give it a bit more "wow" factor for replays. Dead Center does this with the Escalator you have to climb up after busting the glass alarm. Other than that I'd have to say, multiple models of special infected. The common have at least 20 models, give the specials at least 3... I mean they're "special". Let's see... I'd like for them to remove jockeys.... they're not even a good infected, just seems like Valve was desperate for another "incap". I'd like to see zombies come after you when you blow off their legs as well, maybe grab you and slow you down/stop you. I mean they can run at you with their chest blown out, their arms blown off and sometimes without a head... otherwise I'd just really like a mode where they spawn a medium sized city with all the buildings detailed so you can walk inside (yes I know unlikely) and set it to a 8 player survival mode. Highly unlikely, as I said, but I think it'd be a blast. take out a few of the old weapons as well... like that 30 round sniper rifle. It's insanely unbalanced lol

I wish you can rip a zombie's leg off and beat it with the severed bloody thing. :P

All I know is that they need to stop before they have to title a game "Left 4 Dead 4".

lol how funny would that be and then you could do that Chaplin thing he does with the potatoes on the fork and pretend to walk around using the zombie legs. That would be fun not this **** attempt at realism in a zombie game.

I highly doubt Left 4 Dead 3 is even going to happen. http://www.hotbloodedgaming.com/2011/05/26/left-4-dead-developers-sign-with-thq-not-valve/

i believe L4D was originally planned to be a Semi Open world game? But they found once players found the quickest and easiest route they wouldn't bother going anywhere else.....

Well it only makes since for a game to be open world at all if you are either sent multiple places in it or need room to make tactical decisions... neither of them really fit in L4D's ingredients.

True but i always thought it was a really cool idea. Perhaps they could of set up objectives like generators to turn on the lights, better weapons or something else...perhaps by going the long way you are less likely to have "Hordes" coming at you?

I love L4D2, but I'd want more options, rather than one preset path.
