left 4 dead is getting great buzz

i opened my steam account, and there was a steam update informing me that left 4 dead is getting great buzz. it had some links to websites that previewed the game after getting a chance to play it. here are some of the more notable quotes:

I'm under the impression that there will be. It would be weird to be playing Left 4 Dead with any fewer than four people - it would entirely defeat the purpose of the game, I think.

I haven't read anything about bots, but I assume they will be in there.

To be honest, I hate zombie games, never liked one, in fact I hate zombies, I don't think what people find so good/fun about them, but that's just me, hope it's a great game.

The video link in the OP says that you can play single player with 3 bot companoins and combination of bots/players up to 4 people.

With co-op play being on the pc i wonder how players will effectivly communicate? With the xbox there are headsets. But what of the pc version, you would die typing a response.blownsnake

Headsets...

People voice chat with computers, and have been doing so since long before the 360 was released.

But there also appears to be a great radial menu to issue basic sound bytes, and some of it (like reloading or calling bosses) is automatic.
