Left 4 Dead Update Available NOW!

The Left 4 Dead Survival Pack is now available for the PC and Xbox 360, free of charge to all owners of the game. The full change list for the PC release is below. Versus Changes

Fixed a case where versus team score would continue to be recalculated after the score panel was displayed

Fixed an issue with recalculating the versus score health bonus for a player when they are rescued from being incapacitated

Fixed being able to start a swing as an infected, then teleport to the survivors and have the claw swing hit a survivor

Fixed a case where teleporting to the survivors would not reset the ability timer

Fixed an exploit where you could load the chamber of a weapon with bullets by holding down the melee key

Fixed a case where it was not possible to join a game while it was in a finale

Fixed a rare case where listen servers would speed up the game over time

Removed convars related to melee fatigue

Fixed a case where infected players would get a respawn time on their initial spawn into a map

Server Changes

Made ms_force_dedicated_server not require cheats

Add a message when queuing a heartbeat

Simplified setting of game mode

Removed convars director_no_human_zombies and director_holdout_mode

Added mp_gamemode [coop,versus,survival]

Added lobby join and leave messages

I just played it a sec ago. It kept on freezing for about 5 seconds at random, so that pissed me off.

But anyway, all this time for a new game mode and tiny little map? The game wasn't even full of content to start with and they release this tiny amount of content after all this time too?

Well they're releasing the SDK soon too, you'll see a heck of alot of content once its out.

I know some people are dissapointed with this mode, but i personally LOVE it.

Left4Dead as a whole is just a great game imo.

And once the SDK comes everyone will be able to play the user made content together.

Nope they said in the blog that the SDK would be here SOON AFTER the update/DLC that came out today.

The longest I was able to go was 5 minutes and 30 some seconds, by that time there were two of every infected.04dcarraher

Wow, that sucks dude, i played 2-3 hours and no crashes. Hope it starts to work better for you soon.

So are the leaderboards only for your friends? Is there no worldwide leaderboard or anything like that?

P.S. i think survival mode is tons of fun just mowning down hundreds of zombies while still being pretty challenging

and i'm really glad the other two campaigns are multiplayer now

can't wait to see all the stuff that will come out after they release the sdk

So, this update is awesome. It will take quite a while to get all the golds on every single one. Best time so far is 17:45. If you have a good team and spot, it can be tons of fun.
