The game is good and it is fun but I have to say, I got bored rather quickly with it.  I don't know, maybe it's because it's always the same damn maps in the demo.  I would really like to see puzzles and bosses like RE: Outbreak File 1 and 2 but then again, that's just me probably. I really don't see what's all the hype about tho.  Good game but not great and give it a few months, the online activity will drop just like a lot of coop oriented games. Rainbow 6 Vegas, Gears of War, Kane & Lync and not a coop game but it's very team based in World In Conflict.
To probably get the best experience out of this game is to buy on launch day and play like hell IMO.

It's good. It's just not $50 good. The content just isn't there to justify that kind of price.
I also think the online activity is going to drop off fast like most co-op games. In a few months noone will be playing it.
sadly this is the only game that people moan about price...........
what about cod 5 (not much new there)
red alert 3 (fun game just not much new)
Â
do I hear people complaining there that those games should be 30 or less ???
Â
awnser is no........why ??? they never made an orangebox.
Â
I atleast think this game I great and new an pay happily 50 euro's for it (that's a bit more than your dollars)I Can't Wait! :x L4D is almost here.:lol:Â

That's my concern. A game like L4D doesn't seem to have the long term appeal of Counter-Strike or Team Fortress 2.

Maybe not to you, buy MANY say otherwise. I don't know where you've been but many people are raving about this game, played the demo, and they are loving it. Not to mention, future DLC, updates, just imagine..
Best demo since UT2004!
Left 4 Dead is absolutely fantastic. The game lays down a great foundation for some really interesting mods. :D

Get a life.
This game is WELL WORTH $50.
The brief free demo has sucked up more hours from me than probably 90% of the games I've spent $50 on.

The mods are going to be great. Thank god it's from Valve. You know that the mod community is already in place. I can't wait to just randomly start picking all the custom maps out there.

Uhhh... considering Counter-Strike most be the longest-lasting most successful online shooter ever, I'd say it's not a negative if for some reason Left 4 Dead doesn't last quite as long. Sheesh. You people crack me up.

I agree. And no offence to some, but I like Left 4 Dead's online 100 times more than Counter-strike and Team Fortress 2 combined. TF2 never appealed to me.. although I've played Counter-strike since I was ye' high.

Oh please. This game will have a HUGE community in a few months. I have no problem whatsoever finding online games right now, and with probably 200 games under my belt I have yet to play with the same person again. This game is addicting and people are finding out. It will be here for a long time, especially when all the new custom maps start to come out which will because it's a Valve game.
