I'll actually be awake then XD
I just played what I guess to be able 7 hours of demo play last night. It's too much fun! I'm reconsidering getting the steam version so I can play right away when it releases. I'm still going with the physical copy for now.Elann2008
I don't mean any offense, but I was wondering what your mentality was for getting a physical copy. I'm pretty sure you'll end up entering a code in steam anyways. A hard copy isn't going to mean much if steam goes down and you're paying $5 more to get a physical copy. You also have to pay for gas, time, etc.

None taken man. I respect your opinion on these boards. Lets just say I'm one of those people who like their pretty game boxes. I'm like a collector (sort of), so I like to have the hard copy on me. I'm going to buy my copy from this website http://www.gogamer.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=21524445 or find one on Bay for $45-50 with free shipping and currently, I have a 10% coupon on there. I've been buying all my games on-line this year. I use to do the dirty work of driving to the store, but that's reserved only for big hit/midnight release games like Gears of War 2 or Fallout 3. My major concern is "resell" if I ever decide to (for some reason) sell the game. Which I highly doubt, but it could happen.
On steam it says "This game will unlock in 1 day and 9 hours" Its 2:45Pm on sunday for me right now. My math must suck or the countdown changed

That's right. It's just that you're more anticipated about this game than I am. And that's saying a lot. :P

Well, if you have a coupon, that's a different story. Lol.
I rarely purchase D2D games because I also prefer a hard copy (except when it comes to valve games).Ā

I'm going to rely on this. The countdown on the store page is messed up.

Some of my friends preordered L4D from Amazon back when it was $35, some got it at $37, some got it at $40.
Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking around (eBay, gogamer.com). What Makari said is true. It's on Amazon.com for $44.99, and they offer free shipping. On top of that, they throw in a $5.00 promotional discount, bringing the grand total to $39.99, no tax applies. I believe this is the best deal out there, as of right now, if you can wait a few days longer than everyone else (who is purchasing L4D on Steam). It'll give me time to work on Fallout 3.

Thats if they can get it along, I doubt it will be that exact.. If memory serves Valve always has problems with this, I always assume it has to do just with the amount of people using Steam all at once for that function.
I just hope there arent any wierd connection problems with the first initial patches like the demo. Can't wait!The__MCP
I hope not.Ā The demo has already seen connection problems as you well know, but which online game doesnt?Ā Especially when they're new.Ā Weird thing though, my PC blue screened after a short session of Left 4 Dead demo.. and it has never done that before, ever.Ā There is definitely something more evil than zombies lurking in the servers..
