Someone gave me a Dell Dimension 8400 and I have two possible GPU solutions. A 128MB PCIe Radeon X300. It's 64-bit memory. Or a 256MB PCI Geforce 6200. My wife just wants it for some light casual gaming. I really don't know much about these low end cards and couldn't find any articles that compared PCIe vs. PCI.
PCIe is like 14 times faster then pci, or even agp for that matter. Go with a pcie on any video card these days. hooooowever the x300 is not a good card for gaming, unless you just want to play CS 1.6 or games of that erra and it does not run those that well, I would recommend the second gen x800-850 cards as they will give you a little more preformance for a minimal price increase.
