Im so sick of it, every F2P mmo requires at least 50% of your time grinding for levels. Something like WoW has something to make grinding not boring. Guild wars has the best system out there, theres a level limit of 20 and plenty of skills to use.

It's F2P for a reason.

One of the biggest reason I like Guildwars....been playing for 2 years and still going strong. Still have to grind just abit (maybe a few days if your a slow player like me) to get some armor from EotN though. -_-

Grinding is a pain, but I almost find it necessary. I find that when I play games that are too easy to progress you don't have a sense of acomplishment.

BTW Even though GW does try to eliminate grinding and there are many other ways to enjoy the game without it I believe farming is just another form of it.

Yeah, grinding is very tedious. But, in MMORPGs, it's necessary. If you don't want to grind, then don't bother playing the game.

The most grinding I ever did was in wow, but then again I only did that every couple of levels or so, the rest was done by botting which is great, got me a couple of characters to 70 and full merciless with a few clicks :) and all I do is do some pvp every now and then with some friends.

Play MMORPGs with your friends, get on teamspeak, get some snacks and a few beers and "grinding" is a hell of a lot of fun.

At least, it was in EverQuest. The extreme cIass interdependency made (successful) teamwork very satisfying, especially with friends.

Lotro=no grinding, but it isn't F2P (even though it's worth it)

Guild Wars is about stratgic action.. Its not much of a rpg with character advancment and the story isn't that good.. To put it in perspective, the most expensive items in the game are based SOLELY on looks and no stats.. This isn't to say its not bad, I just think its too extreme in the sense.. And the combat isn't as interactive as I would have liked it.

Not to mention Lost dungeons of Norrath made any kind of grinding fresh, never knowing what you will expect in the areas in there.

Grinding is a sign of lazy development. Being free to play doesn't justify that kind of play at all.

World of Warcraft's biggest weakness is the quests. In about 10 minutes you see 80% of the game. They over used the kill quota quests and loot drop collection quest. When you get up into the 50+ level range it get much worse.

One of my favorite things about Guild Wars is the limited number of the grind style quests that World of Warcraft has in abundance. The very few kill quota quests have low body count. With most of the loot drop quests each kill is rewarded with the needed item. I'm hoping they keep this with Guild Wars 2.
