Hi, just wondering...

What are some modern games that you can cut an enemy's limb (or other body part) off, and they'll still attack you?

Stubbs the Zombie is an example of this...

You can blow people's arms off with a shotgun in Soldier of Fortune.

Also God of War II has some great moves where you rip off the enemy's arms and bludgeon them

There are many games that you can take off limbs but i can't say there are many where the enemies keep attacking you, what about Halo and Halo2, with the flood, thats all i can think of (stubbs was awesome).

Stubbs was an exception when it comes to dismemberment in games. I believe in Half-Life 2 (though I wouldn't bet my life on it) you can shotgun zombies in two and they'll still crawl towards you. However, this is not the norm, as human (read: not zombie) dismemberment automatically brings about an Adults Only ERSB rating, and few developers and publishers opt for that from the get-go.

Edit: Now I remember, in Half-Life 2 in Ravenholm you get circular saw blades that you can pick up with the Gravity Gun and use them to cut things in two.

I don't know of any games where you can dismember foes and they are still alive to attack you, although in Solider of Fortune, you can dismember body parts, and they will be alive and screaming, but they won't attack you.

Blade of Darkness you can hack someone's arm off then beat them to death with it. Same kind of action in Die By the Sword, although the graphics are terrible so it's not that gratifying.

you might be able to do this in postal and/or postal 2. I've never played them, but I know people that live off them. They have gary coleman in one as a pimp, and you can kill people with staple guns, piss on cops, and so forth...

You guys are forgetting the Jedi Knight series.  A little lightsaber action to remove arms and hands.  They don't continue fighting but you do get to see the smoldering wound on the once connected end.

Ditto, I was gonna suggest tying a wiimote to his head. :P There used to be a game called "Die By The Sword", it was all about cutting off limbs and stuff, I had some good times with that, but it was back in '98 I think. Maybe there's a sequel or something? I dunno.

FEAR. Thats one of the most violent games available. Resident Evil 4 is great, and so is Gears of War. Soldier of Fortune still tops the violence though, with individual limbs and multiple parts of the same limb able to come flying off.

you can beat someone's head off with a shovel/shoot it off then kick it around like soccer- very amusing for boring days. when you fight zombies you have to blow their heads to pieces or else every severed part of their body keeps attacking you. at least in p2: apocalypse weekend. plus you can pee on people.

Wasn't Vivisector supposed to do this? I can't say that the game looks good enough to justify a purchase to find out.

If I remember correctly there's this game called RUNE, where you'd hack off enemy limbs (goblins for example) and use them. It's an old game (2000) but a nice one.
