ok i just bought a lightscribe drive and some lightscribe cd-r's.  i can write data to the cd-r's no problem, but when i try and use the lightscribe feature it will not work.  it also reads dvds and everything else just fine.  anyone have an idea what the problem is?  it gives me error messages saying i need to enter a lightscribe compatible disc...but they are compatbile!  anyone have a lightscribe drive with similiar problems.  is it a possible media error?  the drive is an LG gsa-h42l.

Did any lightscribe software come with it? If so (I know this is a stupid question) did you install it?

You need a special Light scribe dvd. They are different than normal dvds. Also not all light scribe discs are supported by the same manufactures.

Thats strange, I have that same light scribe drive but i have never tried burning any light scribe dvds. I think it might be the manufacture of the DVDs or CDs.
